EIA Blog - Transportation + Ideas
What does the Corvette Assembly Plant and Northwest Airlines have in common? They both have a stellar Employee Involvement program... and they're coming to talk about their success at the EIA Conference on Thursday morning, September 20, 2007 at the Nashville Hilton Hotel.
When you tour the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, KY (which you can do as part of the EIA Conference on Friday morning, September 21) you will see groups of workers talking about how to best improve their processes. The result is clear -- a fantastic automobile whose owners are fanatic about their cars.
Northwest Airlines believes in Team Power! They have more than 50 groups throughout the company that focus on improving their processes. Crystal Knotek, senior vice president of airport operations and customer service, is a great advocate of employee involvement. She will share with us the process of soliciting more than 300 suggestions for ways to conserve fuel, the evaluation, and implementation of ideas that ultimately lead to savings of 31 million gallons of fuel.
You don't have to work in the transportation sector to glean ideas for creating excitement in your own company from this impressive general session. See you in Nashville!
